Established in Milan in 1954 as "Società
Idroelettrica Alpina," our roots lie in pioneering hydraulic engineering. In our early years, we
significantly contributed to Italy's energy infrastructure with major hydroelectric projects
across Northern Italy. By the 1970s, Alpina expanded its focus to transport, structural, and
civil engineering, delivering over 800 kilometers of highways, industrial complexes, and civil
structures that transformed Italy's landscape.
Today, Alpina remains a trusted partner across sectors, combining decades of experience with a commitment to sustainable, future-ready solutions. Our projects, from energy infrastructure to civil works, are driven by the same innovative spirit that has defined Alpina from the start.

Additionally, the rent we pay directly supports the Sisters of Mother Rubatto, funding development projects in Ethiopia and supporting those in need. Alpina has achieved impressive growth in recent years, doubling our revenue in just five years and expanding to a team of 120 professionals from varied backgrounds, including engineers, geologists, architects, and designers.
