Overview

The design consists in the enhancement of the Rho-Arona line, in the section between Rho and Parabiago stations, through the quadrupling of the current line, as well as the introduction of a small connection (Y) between the FS line and that of Ferrovie Nord Milano.

The interventions included in this project refer to Construction Lot 2 – Rho Parabiago Quadrupling and Y connection, whose project configuration includes the following interventions:

a) Quadrupling between Rho and Parabiago stations for a total development of approximately 90 km, including the transformation of Vanzago station into a stop, the establishment of the new Nerviano stop, and the adaptation of Parabiago station to PRG;

b) The Y connection, originating at progressive km 16+343.28 of the even track of the Rho-Arona line, with a 60 km/h turnout, at an altitude of 225.13 m. The Y connection represents a link between the FS line and the existing N.M. Milano-Malpensa/Novara line, with a total development of approximately 695 m;

c) In relation to the previous points, the following types of works of art are planned in the project:

  • Artificial tunnels;
  • Hydraulic crossing bridges;
  • Road and pedestrian underpasses;
  • Cycle and pedestrian underpasses (equipped with access for the disabled and ramps dedicated to cycle paths);
  • New footbridges or extensions to existing structures.
  • Consistently with the interventions on the railway line and the works of art, it is necessary to foresee the adaptation of the TE technological systems and the interventions to adapt the IS, LFM, and TLC systems necessary for the infrastructural completion of the work.

Overview

Final design of the high speed and capacity railway line Milano-Verona, Brescia-Verona section. Quadrupling of the tracks connecting the Brescia junction with the city and the main line.

This multidisciplinary design concerns the following items

Drafting of technical specifications for geognostic investigations, the investigation and laboratory plan, as well as the interpretation of the results of the related reports;
Tracking of the entire work and related works Geological and hydrogeological study Geotechnics Hydrology and hydraulics Civil Works (Embankments, trenches and off-line roads, works of art, viaducts, underpasses, walls, overpasses, manholes) Minor works (Technological buildings, Demolition of Buildings, Demolition of Overpasses Interference with the MI-VE historical line due to the construction of works Foundations Noise Barriers Railway superstructure Technical interface with Consorzio Saturno for electrification plan, etc.
PPSS (Public Services Interference), census and drafting of projects and resolutions compatible with construction activities to be developed on the basis of information deriving from the BODIES by CEPAVDUE Calculation of project quantities (e.g. earthworks printouts, steel calculation for structural works divided by parts of the work, concrete volumes, formwork surfaces, etc.) Construction phases: works to be agreed with the construction contractor.

Overview

Upgrade of railway tunnels along connection lines with the new railway line AlpTransit of San Gottardo. The upgrade involves 22 railway tunnels for a total length of 18,2 km.

Notably, along the Milan-Luino line, is provided for the adjustment to the shape PC80/P140 (P.M.O. n°3) for the following lines:

•Pino Tronzano – Laveno – Sesto Calende – Oleggio – Novara;
•Laveno – Busto Arsizio;

Sesto Calende – Busto Arsizio.

Overview

Venue for Badminton and Table Tennis competition during the first European Olympic Games held in Baku on June 2016. Alpina carried out the detailed design of civil works, structural and plants.

The project involved the expansion of the number of seats for the spectators, from 1.500 seats to 2.300, the rationalization of entrances, compliance with the safety international standards, the provision of additional services in relation to the variety of uses that the structure will have in the future. This project ensures the functional distribution of the spaces according to functions requested by Sport Federations.

Overview

As part of the redevelopment of the waterfront in Baku in Azerbaijan Alpina carried out the detailed design of civil works, structural and plants, of the building for events “New Sadko” located at the end of the existing pier, facing the old town, which goes in the Caspian Sea for more than 500 m. The building houses rooms for events and banqueting facilities, restaurants and bars. The total area of the building is approximately 17.000 sqm on four floors. The lower level is located below the sea level.

Overview

As part of the overall reorganization of the Garibaldi Repubblica area, Alpina has drawn up the technical part of the area urban transformation project. In this framework, the main urban road network (roads, sewers, water supply, public lighting, electrical and data transmission, gas) was engineered and built as were the structures of multilevel flat-top building – the Podio (Podium) – interconnecting the buildings of the Porta Nuova project.

This low flat-top structure interfaces with the large park provided for in the integrated intervention plan and contains the access to the new MM5 Garibaldi Station, and also provides access to the commercial buildings designed by Cesar Pelli.

Overview

The new Park Hyatt Hotel in Milan is situated at the exit west of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele in Milan. This is a building built in the late 1800s and is bounded on four sides by public streets with an internal courtyard, consisting of a below-ground floor and seven above-ground floors totaling 13.000 square meters.

 The refurbishment intervention giving it new functions and structural adjustment was aimed at making its Nineteenth Century cladding compatible with the new intended uses and challenging plant systems required for a 5-star luxury hotel.

Overview

The project involves the conversion of the residential use of the property to the tourist-receptive one, requalifying the building from an architectural, structural, plant, regulatory and energy point of view.

It provides for the complete remodeling of the internal distribution layout, structural interventions, restoration of the facades and renovation of the roof.

The intervention is carried out through the targeted and controlled demolition of the existing floors and stairwells and the creation of new pillars within the existing volume.

From the functional point of view, the building, renovated and converted to tourist-hotel use, will present a ground floor intended to function as a Bar with a service area behind it, plus three levels for the rooms/mini-lodgings, of which the last one will partly be a mansard roof.
