Overview

Alpina took part in the design of the two sections of the Turin Milan high-speed railway line for a total of 31 km corresponding to approximately 20% of the overall extension of the railway line.

The first section is from Turin to Novara, including the interconnection between A4/A26, Greggio and Biandrate junctions and two viaduct Greggio and Cavour.

The second section is from Novara to Milan, including  Marcallo, Arluno and Milano Certosa junctions. The railway sections engineered by Alpina extends closer to the A4 highway

Detailed design of highway relocation and related phases has also been provided when the existing highway was interfering with the new railway high speed line.

The redesigning activities also involved the renewal of secondary roads affected by the railway infrastructure. New flyovers and underpasses have been provided.
