The Nesher hydroelectric power plant located near Haifa, (Israel), on Mount Carmel is a power generation and pumping plant with an installed power of 220 MW for a diverted flow of 54 m³ per second, with a waterfall of 428 m. The plant includes two basins (1.500.000 m³).​

The main works are as follows:​

• Access tunnel: 5,45x 5,8 m, length 1100 m, 8% slope;​
• Tailrace tunnel: diameter 5,2 m, length 2230 m, 0,1%÷0,7% slope;​
• Underground power station: cavern (height 22 m, width 28 m); shaft (height 46,5 m, diameter 23 m);​
• penstock: diameter 4,05÷3,3, length 749 m, 43° slope;​
• Surge tank: vertical shaft (diameter 3 m, length 41,5 m), upper chamber (diameter 5,5÷6 m, length 200 m), lower chamber (diameter 5,5÷6 m, length 150 m).
