Overview

Project for the new underground public parking lot, covering approximately 14,000 square meters across three levels, located in the Area di Cerniera as part of the integrated intervention program CityLife – the redevelopment of the former historic Fiera Milano district. The construction of Public Parking P1 falls under Article 7.5 of the implementing agreement of the CityLife PII (Integrated Intervention Plan), which, as part of secondary urbanization works, requires the developer to design and build, at their own expense and responsibility, without the possibility of offsetting Urbanization Charges or the "Doubling of Charges," two multi-story structures intended for public parking, with a total surface area of 27,000 square meters. This project is part of the broader redevelopment plan of the former historic Fiera Milano district, which includes the development of various private functions (residential, hospitality, office, and commercial) as well as public services and facilities of urban significance (a public park, a new metro station on Line M5, public parking, recreational spaces, a kindergarten, and the redevelopment of existing public structures). The parking facility is an underground, isolated garage structured over three underground levels. Given the configuration of its perimeter walls, the garage is a closed, open-space, and monitored facility. The parking lot can accommodate a total of 340 cars, including 8 spaces for disabled persons and 18 designated "pink parking" spaces, as well as 79 motorcycles. In Parking P1, vehicle access is at level -3 via the entrance corridor that originates from the newly constructed underground road network. After passing through the entrance, three parking levels are available, accessible via the circular ramp on the east side, which ascends up to level -1. Pedestrian circulation is facilitated through two stairwell blocks with elevators, located on the northwest and southeast sides, which connect all levels of the parking facility to the C2 park above. At level -1, direct access to the shopping mall is provided through a smoke-proof corridor that serves as a buffer between the two facilities.
